Remote Monitor without Blackmagic Cloud

PostTue Sep 10, 2024 5:09 am

The DaVinci Remote Monitor on my Mac has a choice between using Blackmagic Cloud or monitoring without Cloud, using an IP address. But the iPad, i.e. iOS, apps don't have that choice. The iOS app only offers the opportunity to log into Black Magic Cloud. This is on iOS 17 and also the public beta of iOS 18.

Any ideas?

Just use the remote monitor app on iPad, and sign out (if it’s signed into Blackmagic cloud). In prefs for the app (which is in the Settings gear icon prefs area on iPad for each app), you’ll find Remote Monitor app, and a switch that says “Use Without Blackmagic Cloud”… turn that on, and the IP info can be entered.
