Set Hostname of a BMD Production Studio 4K

PostTue Sep 10, 2024 3:56 pm

Hello,

I am trying to move a few BM devices to our internal corp network so we are able to manage them remotely. My network team is asking if these devices support SNMPv3 or if we can set the hostname. I don't think they support SNMPv3, but I was wondering if we could set the hostname. The devices are

BM M/E 2 Production Studio 4K
BM M/E 2 Production Switcher
BM M/E 1 Broadcast Panel
BM VideoHub 40x40

Any help would be appreciated.

In the 'ATEM Setup' (or videohub equivalent) tool, you can set a name for the device, which I think gets used in the mdns discovery.

Thanks for your input. I do have the "label" defined in the ATEM setup software, but that name is not showing up as the hostname to may NAC controller. It just shows the IP address.

Any other ideas?
