External Drive Not Recognized with Camera App

I am trying to use the Blackmagic Camera APP with my iPhone 16 Pro. When trying to select the external drive under the files option, it is not visable. The external drive works when using the iPhone's native camera app. Any help is appreciated.

What is the drive make and model?
Are you connecting with USB-C cable?
Which version the Blackmagic Camera app are you using?

Is it 2.1000170? If not, can you update to that?
