Best firmware for BMCC6k FF?

PostWed Nov 13, 2024 2:36 pm

Hello! I would like to know what software version you are using most and why, it is my first BM and I am still getting the hang of it and I do not know if noise problems can be improved with more stable software or just this camera works like that.

I currently have version 8.7 installed, I installed it the program and supposedly is not BETA.

Thank you in advance!

I just use whatever is current. Even if a firmware is in beta, I don't think I've ever had an issue with a camera.

I tried the latest beta for the BMCC6K FF and had issues with it not reading my angel bird card, I contacted BM for help and they told me to stick with the current official release.

A dodgy beta firmware from 6 months ago and nothing came out since to address problems with the camera lets alone any feature enhancement :(

I use the P4k, but went back to 7.9.1. Anything later adds 'features' I don't like. (And I found it just worked better than later firmware.)
