Thanks a lot man, that is exactly what I meant! Really gotta look more into this menu i forgot it existed. Why is it so hidden lol

Edit:For people learning resolve having it this way per default would still be more intuitive in my opinion.

Nice! Glad I could help, at least on this one.
And yeah, there are a lot of settings in a lot of different places. I guess this menu just came over from the standalone version without any changes.

I would love to see a shortcut for "Paste on top", similar to Place on Top feature. For now, when we copy and paste the clips it pastes on the track selected. So sometimes we overwrite the clips. If we can Paste the clips on top of any clips, like Place on top feature, we won't have to overwrite the clips.

We can already control which tracks we Paste to with Auto Track Selectors, Hamin.

The priority is:

1. Original track.
2. Lowest numbered track with ATS on.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

+1- would love to not have to manually turn on and off the auto track selector

A duplicate function by holding alt would be really useful in the fusion page. Similar to the edit page, where you can alt click to get a duplicate of the selected object. Its really a lot faster than doing copy paste every time.

So you select the nodes that want to duplicate hold alt, click, move them where you want and release. Thats the idea.

Thanks for the work you do blackmagic!

On the edit page disabling a clip is d, disabling a fusion node is ctrl P, in the color page disabling a node is alt D. I think it would be way easier if they all had the same shortcut, because they do more or less the same thing and there is no risk to accidentally trigger the wrong action because they are all isolated in different pages.

I would vote for making the unified shortcut D, because its the easiest to click and it doesent overwrite any existing shortcuts as in the fusion or color page, as far as I know.

Thanks for the time you put into the software blackmagic!

An addition to the alt duplicate could be ctrl alt duplicate, where the node is dulicated but remains connected to the input branch.

Things that would make daily life better-

-Up and down keys in source monitor allow you to go to the next clip or previous clip in bin without having to hit "command 2" You see this highlight reflected in the media pool bin. In this mode also eliminate hitting "enter" on the highlighted clip/timeline in command 2

-Timeline Settings hotkey can be accessed from the timeline. ALSO having a hotkey to toggle making your timeline horizontal to vertical

-Stabilize clip hotkey- allow you to set the default stabilization type in user settings

-Toggle multicam windows using arrows when you're in Multicam mode. i.e. allowing you to cycle the grid settings- whenever I setup the hotkeys for this it doesn't work

-Fixed playhead hotkey in edit page

-add position transform keyframe

-highlight first keyframe in clip

-highlight next keyframe in clip

-highlight all keyframes between the first and the last keyframes in clip

-highlight last keyframe of clip

-Change keyframe type to "ease in and out"

-Change keyframe type to "ease out"

-Change keyframe type to "ease in"

-More double tap functionality for keyboard shortcuts

Speed editor and Resolve keyboard integration only--

-Double tap- create transform keyframe on clip

-Hold "variable key" and swivel dial left or right to transform clip on X axis

-Hold "variable key" and swivel dial left or right to transform clip on Y axis

-Hold "variable key" and swivel dial left or right to zoom clip in or out

Please create a shortcut key for "Transcribe". This would save me 2 additional steps.

Thanks!

In many apps with programmable keyboards there’s a command dictionary that by default has all the commands in it. It just happens automatically when a dev adds a command. It’s part of defining a command and the dev has to intentionally turn it off rather than having to remember to add it.

Would be nice if BMD tweaked their system to do it that way so new commands wouldn’t often be forgotten to be added to the dictionary.

I use Q and Shift Q to cycle the inspector panel and media pool opening and closing.

I can't seem to cycle between the index panel being opened and closed- is this a bug? I can open it via a hotkey but not hide it.

I've requested this before but being able to map stabilize clip and being able to set default stabilization settings would be awesome.

Flattening clips while retaining grades would be another really helpful hotkey.
