Looks good, pacing was a beat too slow in my opinion, but that means more coverage and I'm sure you were crunched enough for time. Nothing about the transitions jilted me, though. Clean sound, it's good.

I like it as well. Maybe take away two or three cuts (three cuts with the door seemed jolting and distracting), but to be honest, I probably wouldn't have noticed it if I hadn't read the comments before watching the video. Fantastic footage, excellent cinematography imo. 9 out of 10. Great job. :D

thanks guys for the feedback. Agree, maybe a couple too many cuts. Was shot in 3 hours total so it was more just about getting the job done then getting the best shots. Not the way I like to shoot but sometimes it is just how it is.

I didn't think there were too many cuts. It looked good, although I would've liked to see more graphics involved ala Adam Lisagor.

I thought the cinematography was well done and overall the piece has great production value. In terms of writing, I didn't see the need to introduce the woman so heavily in the beginning. I understand the 'portrait' style but it took too long to get to the point and muddled the intent of the video, IMO. I would just start the video at "Since I moved to university..." Bam, right to the point. Also, the mellow VO delivery works, however, I could have handled a little more emotion/enthusiasm at points to keep the energy up. Overall a successful video though, nice work.

I think you did a really nice job here.

I agree tho with what everyone else is saying. There was a sequence of shots that stood out to me, as she enters the library. It should have cut to her walking up (as you have it), her opening the door, then her inside. you shouldn't have cut back to her outside as the door closes. And also I don't like the last shot that it ended on. It should be her being happy, looking into the camera or something like that.

Thanks for the feedback guys, appreciate it. Client was acting as director and in charge of overall content/style so they had the end say with what they wanted, and they seem very happy. This short is part of a series of off the cuff testimonials and not meant to be a polished commercials per se. Cheers!
