skin tones in the new african advanture clip

Keep an eye on the skin tones in your Pyxis 6K African Adventure clip.
They look way too red – not the best advertisement for your camera/software. ;-)

I just checked on safari with Mac Studio monitor and skin tone don't look too red. What are you playing back and viewing on?

It looks great on my calibrated display. No problem with reds here.
We also don't know what grading choices were made, so you can't judge the camera's original color based on the video.

I am looking at it on a TV screen and I do not see an issue with skin tone.
Being a lighting guy I am particularly sensitive to skin tone. No issue.
The red record button on the camera and monitor as well as the red on other parts of the gear look rich but not over saturated.

@01:17 and several other shots his ear is backlit by the sun and is more red then the rest of his face, still no issue.

What you are pointing out is a matter of creative choice in post, not hardware or limitations of software.

It is a well made piece that represents the look of the location.

I am glad that you brought it up because it gave me a chance to see the video.

Homesick!

I’m looking it on my calibrated monitor and an LG OLED C10 display and it looks fine on both displays. It could be that the OP’s monitor need to be adjusted. Since we don’t know what kind of display he is using, it’s hard to just make any statements other than to share what it is on our end.
