Not Enough Media Slots

I work in a Middle School and we host the news for announcements each day.

I have two images in the two media slots provided. One is the green screen background and the other is an image that opens the show and closes the show.

I would like to be able to add other images in the top left corner throughout the show.

Is there a way to add more Media slots or use one of the 5 open camera slots as a media slot?

Load new images into the existing players. It sounds like the MP hosting the intro/outro media is idle for most of the show. Use that asset to load new images. Once the looks are built use macros to quickly recall media and keyer configs.

You could also use a regular input for the green screen background and connect it to e.g. a Raspberry PI to show a simple full screen images with e.g. OpenOffice Impress. Or use playout software like PlayoutBee if you also want to show videos. This frees up the media player for other uses. It's too "costly" to use the media player for just a simple image as the media player also supports alpha channels so it can better be used for e.g. logos or overlays.

If you have an ATEM with HDMI connection you can directly connect a Raspberry PI HDMI output to the HDMI input on the ATEM. It's best to set the frame rates the same. Although most ATEM's have scalers and frame rate converters, for smooth animations (when using graphics or video) it's better to set the frame rate of the HDMI output of the Raspberry PI the same as the frame rate of the ATEM.

If your ATEM only has SDI inputs you would need an additional HDMI to SDI converter, e.g. from BMD.

If i have a computer collecting dust, can i use that instead of a raspberry pi?
