12:00 pm: Shooting with Blackmagic URSA Cine 17K 65
This session will explore the challenges Of Two Lands’ founder, Florent Piovesan faced shooting in Iceland with the Blackmagic URSA Cine 17K 65. Florent will talk about the advantages of shooting 2:2:1 open gate and the benefits of the new sensor.
4:00 pm: Editing with DaVinci Resolve Studio
Discover the DaVinci Resolve editing workflow of Justin Yates (Avatar: The Way of Water and San Andreas) and Nathan Orloff (John Wick: Chapter 4 and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire). In this session, they will discuss their approach to editing the upcoming indie film Fade to Black.
Monday 7 April
12:00 pm: Color Correction with DaVinci Resolve
Learn about the DaVinci Resolve color grading workflow with J. Cody Baker, colorist at Company 3. J. Cody has graded such series as Space Force and Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan. In this session, he will discuss working on the new season of Mythical Quest, as well as the advantages of the DaVinci Resolve AI Neural Engine.
2:00 pm: Shooting with Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K LF
Find out more the sensor on Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K LF with director of photography Shane Hurlbut, ASC. Shane will discuss his experience shooting with the camera and working with the footage through onset media management and finally post production.
4:00 pm: Live streaming with Blackmagic Design
Learn how use Blackmagic Design cameras, switchers and DaVinci Resolve to create an end to end live streaming workflow. Evan Lee and John Costa from digital content company New Rockstars will speak about how they used a full Blackmagic workflow for their live event coverage of Comic Con 2024 and Disney’s D23.
Tuesday 8 April
12:00 pm: Live sport streaming with DaVinci Resolve Replay
Discover how to create high quality multi camera productions for live sports with DaVinci Resolve Replay Editor. Curt Caspar of Clear Life Media will discuss how the company built an on demand streaming channel for MMA and local sports using a full Blackmagic workflow.
4:00 pm: Shooting with Blackmagic PYXIS 6K
This session will cover how easy it is to mount the Blackmagic PYXIS 6K on a gimbal or car rig to capture amazing images. Director of photography and filmmaker William Hellmuth will discuss why cinematographers choose a camera and which features have enabled him to capture an elevated look despite limited resources.
