weird sound when in record stand by

I have the studio version of DR and bought a Rode NT1 mic to do direct recordings. I have done quite a bit of direct recording, but occasionally when I try to start recording, I get a strange clicking noise when the record ready button is pushed. It keeps going when I start recording, so I can't record anything. It doesn't do it all the time, but I don't know how to get rid of it when it does happen. Any suggestions. I will include an audio clip of the sound that it makes.(It won't allow an mp3 file or a ma4 file to be used as an attachment, so i can't attach an audio file)

What types of files will it allow?

Put the audio on a file sharing site such as Dropbox and post a link here. Make sure it doesn't require access credentials to open it.

That sounds like a mechanical switching noise, like a relay, somewhere in the room you were recording in. It doesn't sound electrical.

If someone is talking while the mic is clicking, it picks up the talking, but still in a clicking way. I will try to send an example of that too.
