Tips for better organizing video projects

PostThu Sep 11, 2025 5:59 am

Hi everyone,
I work on a wide variety of video projects, involving multi-camera shooting and post-production on DaVinci Resolve and Fusion. I was wondering if any of you have methods or tools for better tracking files, sequences, and resources between multiple team members.
It often gets messy when there are multiple versions of the same project, and we waste time checking who changed what. I've seen that there are solutions for centralizing and synchronizing data, a bit like managing multiple “channels” of information, and I came across this resource https://channel-manager-experts.us/ which looks interesting for exploring those ideas, though I haven’t tested it yet.

If anyone has any tips for organizing teamwork, avoiding duplicates, or simplifying file tracking, I'm all ears!

A Media Asset Management (MAM) solution would be ideal and a few systems integrate with Resolve Studio, including Studio Network Solutions, EditShare, and Media Silo.
Mac Pro 7,1 Rack • DaVinci Resolve Studio 20.2.3 • macOS 15.7.2 (24G325)
Merging Premium Ravenna VAD (3.6.0) ↔︎ Lawo VSC (1.0.0.40)
