Clip too long in Resolve?

Hello--I have looked everywhere in your forum and on the web for this answer but have come up short.

I imported some QT clips that are a certain length (say 1 min.) into resolve lite. In the timeline, in Resolve, it now says the same clip is now some arbitrary longer clip (say 1:25)--than the imported clip...why does this happen?
How do I fix this please?
IMAC 2.8GHZ i5---OSX10.8.2 ---12 gig ram---Davinci Lite 9.0.1

Whoops--This is just due to slow fps playback while rendering color...the render output is the right length. Okay...I am still green with this software...bear with me... : )
