Blackmagic 4k Production Gargantuan Battery Brick?

Hey Everyone,

I am looking for a very large off-camera battery brick for powering my bosses Blackmagic 4k production camera over long shoots, and every resource I have tried has failed to produce what I am looking for; pretty much every option seems to be on camera and too expensive or short lived for him.

He is looking for something akin in size to a car battery, maybe a bit smaller or bigger, which is safe and effective for providing power for these cameras.

Has anyone found any luck with anything that might fit this description?

umm... how about just using a car battery?
or if your outside i've seen people use solar panels

You can grab a light 12V LiFePo4 battery from many sources.

Any 12V Battery will do. How portable does it need to be? I'd go for a car battery, as they are readily available in all sizes and prices, and chargers as well. If need is, you could even charge the battery while you drive to your next shooting location.

I have not tried these, but I am curious if others here have comments.

Yes, except the voltage is too high to use on a BMD camera. They appear to start at 24 volts, and you really should be using 12 volts.

No, the BMCC and BMCC 4K can operate on 12 to 30 volts.

Deep Cycle Marine Cells would also work-- as would motorcycle batteries, which we'd often put in pelican cases with a 4-pin XLR connector.
