I Love Blackmagic

PostTue Apr 01, 2014 12:21 am

Just wanted to say. I love my BMCC. For the price, no other camera can touch it.

I love what Blackmagic has done over the course of the last year. I have faith they will announce a firmware update to the BMCC at NAB.

So much so that I just ordered another Blackmagic product (the Multideck 2) to edit straight off the camera. :)

Keep up the good work guys!

Seriously guys,

BMCC 2.5k in RAW mode is ideal for short clips in amazing quality (4:4:4 encoding in razor-sharp resolution). This is exactly what we use it for professionally in our job-coaching agency in Zürich! We and our customers simply love the high-end look this cam delivers!

Sure a bunch of us have issues with the firmware, but the image this camera produces cannot be denied. It's pretty incredible that I can afford to own (not just rent) a camera that allows me to get this level of fidelity. Remember the RED epic was actually a very low cost camera for what it can do and it's what? 15x the price of the BMCC?

I was just explaining to a photographer on the stills side that my BMCC takes up to 30 uncompressed 2MP RAW images PER SECOND and they were pretty blown away...

Actually it are 3.24 MP in RAW.
Saying "Thx for help!" is not a crime.
