In the absence of anything better, "The eyeon Fusion6.3 A tutorial approach" 6.3, is the best value resource for the novice. Combined with the various videos out there you are on your way. It certainly could be improved by including foundation principles but by the end of the course you are pretty much ready to progress to the next level.
BTW, the publisher informs me that they are currently working on an update to version 7, but given 6.3 is substainally the same as 7.5 and you can get it for less than $20 (I got the Kindle for PC version on Amazon) there would seem no reason to wait if you are struggling to get up to speed.
