Quicktime 64Bit

PostMon Jan 12, 2015 4:51 pm

Often asked, but how did it work:

How can I get Apple Quicktime work in Fusion Studio?

Windows 8.1, Quicktime (32Bit) installed, Fusion Studio 7.6 build 0

Many thanx

Not sure in 7.6 but usually this should work out of the box.

Fusion - like many other windows applications who have to deal with this - has an 32 bit Quicktime process that runs in the background and communicates with the 64 bit Fusion instance.

The process is called: eyeonQTServer

If it doesn't work:
- check you firewall is not blocking something
- check your virus scanner did not block this communication (or FBX, which also happens from time to time)

It already works. Fusion uses a quicktime wrapper that handles that for the OS

Many thanx for your fast help!

In deed it was a firewall blocking the qtserver process...

Best regards

Stephan
