Greyed-out timeline

PostSun Jun 07, 2015 8:29 pm

Quick question:

When I am working on a timeline and click the edge of a clip to trim it, all of the clips in the timeline become greyed out. This is quite annoying. Am I doing something wrong?

Usually, that means you have an In point and an Out point highlighted. If you look at the entire timeline, you'll see the In/Out segment is not greyed out.

Now, if somebody can tell me out to clear the in and out points, that's a mystery to me.

It took a while also for me. I think is because is not matching the same criteria they used for other buttons around in resolve, like in/out in the delivery page. But it's consistent with other edit software..i guess it's more editors friendly ;)

Of course, since these commands are available via a menu, that means you can also map them to any keyboard shortcut you like!

….now BMD just need to allow us to map non-menu based commands to custom keys too

I discovered this issue after rendering.

I would clear the markers and re-run the job in the render queue which reset the IN/OUT markers.

After Clearing the IN/OUT markers, make sure to delete any jobs in the render queue and re-add them.
