Often I don't really want the whole folder structure of my server being revealed, eg:
%(Clip Directory) results in:
\\BigServer\Jobname\Production\Footage\16_03_05\Studio\Cam3_AM\M4ROOT\CLIP\MyFile.mp4
Which is a bit long!
It would be awesome if we could specify the nth directory before the end.
EG in my case I'd want to write:
FOLDER: %(Clip Directory 4 Before Last)\%(Clip Directory 3 From Last)\%(Clip Directory 2 From Last) CLIP: %(File Name)
Which would give
FOLDER: 16_03_05\Studio\Cam3_AM
CLIP: Myfile.mp4
Also hopefully that would open a door to let us auto-populate metadata in the future. EG take %(Clip Directory 2 From Last) and put it into reel number or something...
Obviously you could do something more fancy like allow users to input regular expressions on the filename... but I'm trying to keep this request simple!
