Ultrastudio sdi usb3

PostWed Aug 22, 2012 11:55 am

Hello.
Has sombody test de ultrastudio sdi (usb 3) whit the new MBPr?
I do not want to use the thunderbolt port. Prefer left it for my HDD, the b-link box and the magma pci box.

Thx

Hi Elabuelo,

We currently don't have any Mac USB 3.0 support. UltraStudio SDI will only work on a Windows based machine.

It could potentially work, but it's more likely to not work. I'm not sure offhand what chipset the USB3 controller is, but whether or not it would work in boot camp would be heavily dependent on if the manufacturer has Windows Drivers for the device.

Even then, no guarantee and we wouldn't be able to support this configuration.

ok, i understan that.

so, can you tell me which will be the bandwidth that Ultrastudio express will use? I know it depend which material Im using. but more or less, If I have only one TB, plug a Pregasus raid, your Ultrastudio Express and MAGMA PCI for ATTO SAS hardware raid.

yes, maybe I will not use all at the same time, like, codex TS to the MAGMA and download to Pegasus RAID, then just open Resolve To make some Color Grad, from Pegasus, so The Magma will not be at work.

Lets Use for Example apple process 4444 from Alexa. can you give me an idea of the bandwidth?.

thx

Yes I now. But if you conect a magma and in that magma have 2 atto raid and one host conected to a caldigit 16tb and you are downloadi g from a codex TS doing a back up at te same time i think it wont be a good idea daisy chain it...
But if im only downloading data, I can continie using davinci to chek my shots from my usb3 Hdd raid 0.

You can re read my post and see this:
If I only have one TB plug it to a Pegasus, your ultrastudio Sdi and a magma...
I conect those things in dasy chaing.
