Camera 4.2 Update

PostWed Dec 21, 2016 3:49 am

The latest Camera 4.2 Update enables you to run black color calibration on URSA Mini 4.6K in the studio or out in the field. This means you can quickly optimize the camera’s image quality by balancing the black levels in just a few seconds. To run the black color calibration, simply go to page 4 of the camera’s setup menu and follow the prompts.

These software changes and the URSA manual can be found in Blackmagic Camera 4.2 update, available for free download from https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/au/sup ... al-cameras

We are also happy to announce that we have just added the SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB and 256GB 'D' series CFast 2.0 cards to our supported list. Previous firmware SanDisk CFast cards are still not supported as there were some firmware issues with them... but as of today the SanDisk 'D' series 128GB and 256GB CFast cards are certified for ProRes and RAW recording and are listed in our manual.

Just so you know how to identify these cards - they are the ones with the product codes ending in D.
So for these two cards the codes are SDCFSP-128G-x46D and SDCFSP-256G-x46D.

'x' will vary from region to region in the product code (A for the USA, J for Japan, Z for China, D for Australia/New Zealand, and 'G' for the rest of the world) but what you want to look out for is the 'D' at the end which shows they are the new series of cards.

They also have a D on the back of the card in the bottom left corner.
