ATEM Production Switcher firmware

PostFri Sep 07, 2012 1:44 pm

Respected,
Last year my company have purchased ATEM 1 M/E Production switch.
On the box there is a red sticker saying "HD only model! Check website for SD update in coming weeks."
I was searching a bit, but couldn't find any firmware update.
Is it realised and is it available for ATEM 1 PS?
regards,

The ATEM 1ME originally shipped with HD modes only and the SD modes were later added via a firmware update. As long as you are running the ATEM software that is not the original 1.0 or 1.1, it will have all the current supported formats.

I would recommend downloading the latest version from the support section of the website and not installing the version that is on the included CD especially if it's from last year. There have been quite a number of driver updates since then.

Download the latest software for ATEM here at Blackmagic's site.
Connect the switcher with USB.
Start the ATEM SETUP UTILITY.
It will ask you to update, do that.
You now have SD (4:3) support.

The firmware updates are here->http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support/.

Just select your O/S - then the Product Series (ATEM) then Product (ATEM 1 M/E Production Switcher). You will then be able to download the most recent drivers for the ATEM.

If you have already installed the older drivers you must uninstall them first.

Then follow the steps Mt Bengtson outlined.

Any Closer To 3.4 and 60 HZ??? Support any idea for a timeline? I keep hearing your working hard on it, but I seen all the 4k stuff pop out. -

I am running out of time for my conference, thanks for any details.

Thanks,

George

Hi Sharyn,

I just returned the defective DEQ today to Guitar Center. - I bought it used online and it did not work, leaving me hanging - I have decided to just try to limp along with the xlr inputs from my Sony NX5u and allow the audio to mix in with this. - (What I really need is 60 hz:)

Did you have an SRC for sale? The other unit I have is an SRC, and I feel that I would like for them to match, did you have an extra one?

Thanks to all who have commented. I have done the update both on the switcher and panel.
