bug with adding a control to a Fusion tool

PostSun Apr 22, 2018 1:53 pm

I find that if I try to add a Multibutton control to a tool in Fusion (within Resolve 15) it actually adds a combo control (popup menu) rather than a multibutton control - an unexpected and different result than Fusion 9 standalone - see the jpeg screengrab attached to this post to compare

I was just coming here to complain about that!

Multibuttons seem to not be part of the new UI. A combo box requires two clicks to change a selection, and you can't see the options without opening it. For controls with only two or three discrete options, a multibutton is superior. It looks nicer, too, in my opinion. Combo boxes are ugly.

How would you do
Code: Select all
MBTNC_Type = "Toggle"
in a combo control?

I had never seen that property before; I always used a checkbox control for that kind of function.

Yet another reason why the Multi-button shouldn't go away.

*bumping this post*

This is still an issue in B5.

Multibuttons are used a lot in macros, it would be consistent with the Resolve UI as well, since we have buttons for all kinds of stuff in the Fusion page (i.e. tool selection etc).

Please bring them back.
