Fusion plugin directory

Hi,

In a setup with multiple workstations it would be fantastic if Resolve supported a plugin directory for Fusion like it does for Audio plugins in system preferences.

This would allow us to set a location for all workstations to our shared storage and have all workstations pickup new plugins and not have to manually copy them everywhere.

Do you have licenses for the plugins for all the machines?
They are usually for one seat.

Besides license issues, in my case, 15b2 does not load Fusion plugins at all. For instance the Krokodove plugins v.7 and the new v.8 cannot be loaded whatever I try.

You can use Fusion's Path Maps to point it to your shared plugins directory. Fusion > Fusion Settings > Path Map

If you set up a centralized UserPaths location, you'll be able to draw macros, scripts, fuses, plugins, tool defaults, etc from there. Once Reactor is working, you can even set that up to point to your network so all artists will have access to packages downloaded from there as well.

However, as Thomas says, plugins do not yet seem to work. Neither native SDK plugins like Krokodove and VLAM nor OFX like RSMB or Neat Video show up for me, either.

@Peter - Yes some are single workstation licensed but many are licensed on all and most are free plugins or in house made plugins (e.g. Title blocks)

@Bryan thanks didn't know about reactor but now do, fairly new to Fusion so still learning. Using the Userpath mapping looks to be what I was after thanks. Though I still think an option like the audio plugin page would help keep things simple, even if it was just a box for "custom user path" for adding a custom path as well as the default.

This does bring up 1 point shouldn't Fusion options be moved to the Resolve Preferences section so it is all together - Possibly something you are already working on or planning. Being a studio tech has plenty to do already and keeping all settings together in an app helps stop setup drift and confusion.
