proper dpx workflow : resolve to nuke to resolve

PostTue May 22, 2018 5:30 am

Hi, i have a material from RED EPIC camera (r3d) and imported them into resolve. I need to send this (export ) as dpx to nuke artist so they can work the vfx before send it back to me as dpx for final grading. What should i prepare before i export dpx for nuke. what proper setting should i use ? the vfx will be done using 4k (dcp) 16bit dpx. which colorspace etc to use in export setting ? Can someone help me to show the proper workflow ? and also how to prepare/setup the LUT for the nuke artist ? Does the footage needed to be color balanced before sending to nuke ? how far the color manipulation can go before send to nuke ? or do i just send straight w/o color manipulation because i will send the LUT anyway for previewing.

So whatever setting used here, it may affect the nuke artist to use which colorspace (cineon,rec709 etc) to set when they import/read the footage.

Thanks
