R15B4 - Many and varied crashes -- Environmental?

PostSun Jun 10, 2018 5:29 pm

Hi there forum.

Here's my crash log from today.

I've had crashes moving clips in Fairlight, crashes altering the clean plate in Fusion, and the last three are all in delivery.

I have a 18TB drive on thunderbolt where Resolve takes it's clips from and another large drive (Lacie) where Resolve runs its cache.

The App runs from the SSD. I have a iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015). with AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4096 MB and 32GB Memory.

Regards

Andy

Could it be that your drives are going to sleep?
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

Thanks for the thought Uli, --- Resolve 11-14 have worked fine on this system. I have noticed that the Fusion 9 is a little less reliable than 8.

FCPx, Motion, Cheetah3D are also rock solid.

I will investigate the Lacie RAID admin program.

Updated the Lacie Raid Firmware and Management program.

Disks were already set not to sleep.

Here's the resulting crash.

To add to this.

Beta 5 is way more stable.

I'm still getting crashes when adding a clean plate to a Fusion clip with a Delta key.

This is not always predictable - since I've successfully done this twice:
