can't make preview window smaller

Hi,
I'm using a BM decklink mini monitor to output video to a calibrated monitor, then a full timeline on second screen and bins in a third screen with a viewer.

The viewer is wasting almost 70% of the screen and I don't even use it all. My eyes are all the time in output monitor, timeline or bins. Bins windows are so small that I need to deactivated smart bins and powerbins.

The problem is when I want to make the viewer smaller, my mouse change from arrow to resize just in the line between bins and preview window but does nothing.

I know that setting up layouts in Davinci is akward and almost imposible to customize the way the user wants. But I'm not sure if this is a bug on my computer or if I'm doing something wrong.

thanks for your reply. I attached an image of the window that is not resizing. The mouse cursor change from arrow to the resize icon when the mouse is positioned in between the bins and the viewer windows but I can't get the preview windows smaller

I can get the viewer to just 20% of screen height on my Mac.. what system and OS version, monitor res etc to you have?

I'm on a Mac Pro 5,1 with OSx El capitan.
3 monitors, two LG @1920x1080 and 1 NEC PA272W @2560x1440. (Davinci interface is running on the LG)
I can't get it smaller or bigger it doesn't move. I just switch the resolution and it doesn't work.
