Banding with IPP2 Gamut Mapping in RCM

PostMon Aug 27, 2018 7:48 pm

I've noticed that R15's implementation of the IPP2 gamut mapping in Resolve color management can cause banding in the image.

I was testing it out and was noticing some weird behavior in the image that I do not see when using the RCX generated LUTs.

R3D decoding is set to 16 bits, full res premium. Performance mode off. Tetrahedral LUT interpolation, but using RCM it should not affect the results.

Can you post a link to your images, and you system details?

Peter

I reached out directly to support via email, but here is a dropbox folder with the images as well as a DRP showing the artifacts very clearly. There are also resolve logs there as well.
