Is it enough to just door should I do something like
- Code: Select all
dpkg -i resolve-beta7-blahblahblah.deb
first?
- Code: Select all
dpkg --purge resolve-beta5-blahblahblah.deb
Thanks!

dnxhd/hr in .mov containers should work -- as long as you do not use a AMD CPU in your machine. in those case you would have to utilize prores instead.

What is the compatible sound format for MOV container in Linux?

uncompressed PCM sound is in general the most useful one in professional workflows. this is usually not supported resp. standard conform in .mp4 containers, although some cameras embed it even in this kind of files, but it should work without any problems in .mov containers, which are otherwise very similar from a technical point of view.

Addressed an issue where audio playback would stutter when using system audio devices in Linux

My only current issue is Audio - i got an external USB Presonus Mobile Studio. It functions ok in all other apps but in Resolve the audio stutters when playing.
the Linux Sound settings Applications page starts flickering when Resolve is open ( between ALSA plugin (resolve) 100% / No application is playing audio )
flickering and stuttering happens ONLY with Resolve and is happening in sync.
My conclusion is that it captures and releases the drivers/device. Please fix
Also, the bug report won't get sent after Resolve crashes on exit. same issues were with previous beta 6

Maybe more info about your config would be welcome if you want some help![]()
Working fine here on a dell xps 15 9570 with a GTX1050Ti, latest nvidia drivers (with cuda and prime sellect), without any external monitor plugged in... Do you have any strange xorg.conf file or something else ?
My only issue so far is the scaling. I am forced to put my UHD screen in a lower resolution to have a readable GUI because Resolve doesn't seems to see the scaling command of the system (UHD with 200%).
