Recording Voice Over in Resolve 15.0.1

PostFri Sep 07, 2018 1:49 am

I installed Resolve 15.0.1 on Mac without any problem.

Generally everything is working EXCEPT recording. I went to the Fairlight page and did all the settings in Patch etc, re-started the application, but still no recording. I tested USB mic and output (speakers) with other app and it's all working except on Resolve 15.0.1. Anyone with the same problem and any solution?

Yup same issue here. Did get 1 email from BMD on updating OS—which i did. Then on v15.1 it wouldn't even open anymore. So Ive deleted Resolve and gone back to iMovie for now. When another version of Resolve comes out (3 weeks) ill try again. Voice overs are primary for the work i do. There are no answers on line or youtube for this. A bit sad, bet somewhat expected for any developing software! :|

Yes, I never got this to work either :-( Ended up recording a separate audio track with different software and then putting it on the timeline.

I wouldn't think it to be a *big* challenge to make this work "as advertised" but perhaps BMD have other priorities right now.

FYI, I'm having no problem with this, although I'm using 15.1 so maybe they fixed something.

As a basic check, look at this five-minute tutorial and make sure you are following all the steps in the exact order (it's important to shut down Resolve before selecting your default inputs in Windows or Mac).

This is for v. 14, but the patching works the same way in 15
