How to prevent timeline from starting over automatically?

PostThu Aug 23, 2018 8:25 pm

Hey guys, I've been searching for the answer to this question, and can't seem to find it. It may be that there is no setting for this, but I thought I'd post in here really quick to see!

I notice that whenever my timeline reaches the end, it automatically starts playing from the beginning.

Is there a way to turn this feature off? So it just STOPS when the timeline is done, and keeps the playhead at the end of the timeline?

Thank you so much!!

How to prevent timeline from starting over automatically?

There is a Playback / Loop function and icon but Resolve appears to ignore it. On the Edit Page, it stops at the end. On the Colour and Deliver Page it loops regardless of the setting. The behaviour does not appear to change whether Loop is selected or turned off. This was not an issue in Resolve 14.

Did you file a bug report about this?

No, I didn’t participate in the beta testing, Kays.

Works as normal for me on a Mac. Edit page timeline loop mode off = stopping at end of timeline.

Keep in mind the loop functions on the Edit page and Colour page are independent from each other.

I generally drop a slug of generator black in the timeline for at least 5 seconds. For feature projects or anything going back to layback, we have a 2-pop two seconds prior to first frame of video, and a Tail-pop 2 seconds after the last frame of video, as per the film days.

I'm having the same problem. Not able to turn off timeline looping in the
color page timeline. I'm on Windows.
Thanks,

Did I mention you can solve this problem with five seconds of black at the end of the timeline?

Is this thing on?
