Myself, I can see advantages & disadvantage to each BMCC mount option. I can't afford to own both (yet).
The m43 version is better for my clients who want to rent PL lenses, or less often, manual m43 lenses. I get that.
The EF mount is in some ways more versatile because it's an all-in-one solution for EF-compatible electronic lenses (I was probably going to buy a Tokina 11-16mm), and can also use my inexpensively adapted old Nikkor manual lenses.
None of my electronic m43 (Lumix) lenses will work at all on either version.
If BMD had offered an electronic m43 mount, it would have made my choice much easier, because I could use both my Nikkor & Lumix lenses, plus rented PL.
Sigh. I hate it that, this time, it's
me who's reinterpreting a kick *ss BMCC feature as a "limitation". Oh, the irony.
