Help: Set Off Speed Rate To On

PostSun Jan 13, 2019 6:43 pm

I went to shoot a live concert of two songwriters with my new Blackmagic Pocket 4K. I was shooting ProRes422HQ 4K and set the FPS to 23.98. I then set the off speed rate to ON and adjusted the slide switch to 60. Hence, my FPS on my monitor said 60/23.98.
When I went to play back the video it was very slow. The audio was fine but not in sync.
I need advice to guide me how to fix my screwup. I need to get the FPS to play at 23.98. When I put the clip in COMPRESSOR, It registered at 23.98 but was still playing very slow.
Somehow I need to convert the FPS from 60/23.98 to 23.98. Any Advice?

Make a project in Resolve, set the timeline to 23.98 and drop the footage into it. Don't let it change when asked!
Should run at the correct speed.
Good luck with sync, though.
No, an iGPU is not enough, and you can't use HEVC 10 bit 4:2:2 in the free version.

Why did you record in Off Speed mode anyway, if you don't need it?
Saying "Thx for help!" is not a crime.
