So I've ordered an ABS instrument case that is just under the dimensions of the 5.7" screen (much easier if it were 5" monitor) and I'm going to look at cutting a centre hole in the case and attaching the loupe to that. The entire assembly can then be either hand held or attached by various means to suit. With a bit of luck I can make this with what I have and do almost as good a job.
I'm actually building my own.
The Hoodman 3.0 loupe works well for this application. I've built a folding frame to add the Hoodman to my Ninja 2 - so it's an EVF/recorder. Works great. The Hoodman loupe just squeezes in, as it's got a rubber finish.
Now I've got a design for a two part frame (connecting with magnets) to use the Hoodman on the Pocket 4K with SmallRig half cage. Hopefully should be getting a prototype back from the printer next week.
