Can't upgrade local database in new DaVinci Resolve 16

I just upgraded to DaVinci Resolve 16 and I am having a huge issue that prevents me from using the program.

I cannot upgrade the local database. Each time I try, I get this error:

Failed to upgrade database: "Failed to apply patch ALTER TABLE "SM_Project" ADD COLUMN "LockableBlobMap" uuid; to database {b9fcd5e1-65a1-4d5c-bc67-1457d53efc0c}: attempt to write a readonly database Unable to fetch row".

I can't even use the program now because I can't upgrade. Any help on this is much appreciated, otherwise I will look into restoring 15.

Something doesn't seem right about the permissions on your setup. Why is the DB read only for Resolve?

Also, we strongly recommend taking a backup of the DB before upgrading to V16.

What steps can I take to resolve this?

I have this exact same issue. I created my 15.3.1 DB on an external SSD in win 10, it isn't created as read only, however when trying to import into a mac that has 16 installed and it gives me the exact same error minus the different database number.

Did this ever get sorted out?

Having the same issue here. Backed up my DB in DVR 15 Studio and upgraded to 16 Studio. When upgrading the DB I get the same error as the original post and restoring my previous DB won't work either given a similar no writing permission error. Please help!

I have the same issue and failed to make a back up of the database. Does anybody have a solution?
