Cannot load existing project or create new- just crashes

I updated today from v14 to v16 (I never tried 15)
After the DB upgrade, loading any existing projects led to the application just quitting - initially with a "send error report" screen.
If I now try a new untitled project, it just quits without error. I don't see any obvious clues in the debug log so a bit lost as to what to try.
I've rebooted, checked for driver update (there isn't one)
I'm using a Dell XPS 15 with Nvidia GTX 1050 onboard graphics, 16GB Ram.

Debug log attached (renamed to zip, apparently .txt not allowed) - I won't attach the .dmp as it's over 500Mb!

Any suggestions?

Can you see if your are on the latest Nvidia driver?

I will check tonight- Windows Update didn't offer anything, but there may well be a new driver from the manufacturer website I can download.

Please use the drivers suggested by Nvidia, and opt for a clean installation, or use a utility like DDU to clear the display drivers.

Thanks- I did a "clean install" of the latest drivers and can now start a new project and load existing ones.
Not tried anything else yet, but at least it's working!
