The cold kills batteries. Literally it you leave them there long enough. If you camera was sitting in the cold for a long time, your internal battery would have suffered.
Curious, why did you wait so long to plug in your switronix?
Don't know how cold the camera was, but it was about 0 degrees outside.
Yeah, I know it's not good for batteries to be too cold, but it still showed 25% (for a long time) and 10% before I connected the Switronix.
Just don't know how low battery could affects the SSD getting connected or not.
I should say that I didn't connect the Switronix at dawn, not until it happened again later.
At dawn it was okay after a 15min struggle, and the only thing working then was to hold the camera in a specific angle and press the play button for some reason..
