BMCC EF wont start!

I just unpacked my new BMCC and charged it an put it on after 2 hours.
It worked for about 1 hour then it suddenly shut of.
Now it wont start at all.
If I hold the powebutton for like 5 sec. The screen blinks and the fan start and runs for 2 sec. and thats it.
Is there someway I can reeboot or is it game over and back to the store?

Sounds like the battery is dead.

Powersupply was connected all the time.

The only thing that crossed my mind was that you have to hold the power button down for a couple seconds to turn it "off". To turn it on I usually just push the power button like you were pushing a typical power button say on your stereo etc. Basically just tap it. Mine turns on too easy. I'm just wondering if holding it down is confusing it. I havent tried it because i'm away from home at the moment but even so i'm not sure I want to temp fate.

are you "sure" the power adapter is plugged in all the way? Just sounds like a dead battery to me too...

Maybe you have the same issue that i have had. After switching to DnxHD camera died. But today support send link to new firmware 1.3.1 and my BMCC is alive again! Try to download new firmware and install it via usb

MINE JUST DID THE SAME THING.

i tried plugging in a usb.... NOTHING. I just got this camera too!

I have a shoot on Tuesday please help!

When plugged into the USB and plugged into power, launch the latest Blackmagic Camera software (ver 1.3).

If it says it can't see the camera try pressing the power button. The camera might not appear to start up but the software might see it.

If not you'll have to return it to be repaired.
