Brightness and contrast 3d

PostThu Oct 03, 2019 12:31 pm

would it be possible to use a plug in that was designed for fusion 8 in fusion v16?

the v8 instructions were
To install for Fusion Studio 8:

- Shut down any running copies of Fusion Studio 8.
- Create the folder C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\Fusion 8\Plugins\Indicated if necessary
- Copy Fusion8\BrightnessContrast3D.plugin file to C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\Fusion 8\Plugins\Indicated
- Start Fusion Studio 8

To use:

- The tool can be added to the flow by right-clicking, then selecting "Add tool".
- The tool will appear in the 3D->Indicated shaders menu.
- Click on the name of the tool from this menu to add it to the flow.

I have tried with v16 but it does not work as there does not appear to be a shaders menu?
windows pc , windows 10 , v16 works fine otherwise.
thank you
Alistair

No, the SDK changed between versions. Old plugins and OpenCL fuses won't work in Fusion 16.

There is a new SDK available, so plugins can be modified from source to work with the new GUI and compiled for Fusion 16.

Thank you Chad, unfortunately the originators of this do not respond to emails so I suspect they have moved on to other things.
I would not know how to start although it would be a interesting project .
