BMPCC4K - 1 Year Review and thoughts on the 6K

PostThu Oct 10, 2019 11:39 am

Hey guys,

Here is my 1 year review of the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K.

It has been a full year since I first received the BMPCC 4K.
In this video I am talking about my experience with the camera on a variety of shoots, what lenses I used, what I like and don’t like about it as well as my thoughts on the new BMPCC 6K that I got recently.

Let me know what you have any questions :).

Cheers,
Flo

BMPCC4K - 1 Year Review and thoughts on the 6K

Well done, Florent. Appreciate the calm delivery and the scope of the review including material from the original Pocket which stands up well against the updated cameras in terms of a quality HD image.

Only area I felt you were stretching a little was the screen performance outdoors. Definitely can be usable much of the time, but inadequate in the brighter sunlit situations when the screen can at times be impossible to use without throwing a jacket over your head or using a more sophisticated shade.

Thanks Rick !!
I am used to bad screens haha so in my opinion this one is pretty good. I don't remember struggling as much with it as with other previous ones.

Haha, yep !! To be fair the C200 or EVA1's screen isn't much better apart from the touch focus functions.

Haha very true! I have been leaving the C200 monitor in the case lately and just using an external monitor. It is pretty useless too
