Intensity shuttle NTSC

I have a PAL vcr player with s-video out connected to a TBC and then into the intensity shuttle s-video input. This setup works great with PAL settings. But I want to change the settings to NTSC and then I don't get it to work.

I use my Sony SLV R-1000 NTSC vcr player with s-video out connected to the same TBC and into the same shuttle as normal, changed to NTSC on the Desktop Video setup and the project video format in Media Express to NTSC. Am I doing something wrong here?

Is the TBC capable of doing NTSC?

It says both PAL and NTSC support:
