Rotoscoping Course in DaVinci Resolve

PostFri Dec 13, 2019 9:35 pm

One of the first online courses I watched was from Digital Tutors about the art of rotoscoping. I learned so much from that course and it has helped me immensely in my color and finishing work since that time.

Now we have created a course at Lowepost.com that teach all those techniques I learned back then and a lot more inside of DaVinci Resolve. It's created especially with colorists and finshing artists in mind, and I'm very excited to show it to you.

It starts with basic techniques as you can see on this lesson and as the course progress we will move on to more advanced topics.

The course is taught by Lee Lanier that has written several compositing books and teached at Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Hollywood.

Hope you like it!

You can read more about the course here:

Hey,

Just a positive thought : the first screens. I saw there is... a Fusion one.
Shouldn't your course be named "Rotoscoping Course in Fusion" or "Rotoscoping Course in the Fusion tab of DaVinci Resolve" ?

I'm into rotoscoping, compositing and connected digital works too, and finally we all know it's a work dedicated to Fusion ;)

BTW, you should be interested in this automatic AI-based rotoscoping article if you like the topic.

Cheers
