Was once a CasperCG user. Now I am on OBS for all my overlays. We build our packages with in HTML and control it with a software called StreamControl.

Depends on what you want to do with it..

We need timers and lower thirds, We found out that hologfx was the tool for us. And they even have a free version.
Also works with Streamdeck / Companion control. Which makes it so much more useable.

We use a middling amount of basic graphics on live conference streams, do it all within the basic Wirecast facilities which are more than adequate. Multiple layers are particularly useful, with for instance a permanent "bug" in the top layer, name supers and "Coming Ups" dissolved in and out in a second layer and cutting from live input to a full-screen graphic during breaks in a third layer. Very easy to retype live graphics which we do all the time, no offline preparation required.

We use PowerPoint on Windows with the SimpleSupers app. Very easy, retains transparency and PowerPoint animation. Worth checking out the trial version before spending a lot.
