Long loading times, slow playback in timeline, crashes

Good day, ladies and gentlemen!

My first post here, so pardon me, if doing something wrong.

Story in short - been using DaVinci Resolve v15 for some time, finished two projects without any troubles. Recently started to get some issues - longer loading on start, in same projects timeline playback dropped in fps to 9-11. No changes been done in hardware\software sides.

Trying to fix switched to Resolve v16 - playback is ok, drop in 1-2 fps in timeline happens on transitions and between different clips. But now, after 5-15 min of work program crashes.

I am not a professional editor or programmer, so I lack knowledge - what it can possible be? Some kind of dark vodoo magic?:) Asking for word of wisdom from community.

Extremely Slow Timeline Playback in Resolve
DR:16.1.2 (Latest)
Nvidia Driver: Studio Driver 441.66
Dell XPS 15 9560 (i7-7700HQ @ 2.8GHz)
GTX 1050 - 4GB
RAM: 16GB

I suddenly seem to have this issue of extremely slow playback in Resolve. It's fine when you restart the PC and open a new instance of Resolve. Playback is smooth for a few seconds but once you scrub a little, that's when the slow down happens. 1-10fps or slower on playback.

It seems the PC reverts back to Intel HD Graphics 630 (it peaks at 100%) instead of using the GPU (GTX 1050).

I was using a one step down version of Resolve and the one step down version of the nVidia Studio Drivers. I thought it was the issue but it didn't solve it.

I had no issues with smooth playback before and this only happened recently. You can see from the images below.. the first few seconds the GTX 1050 was working, once I scrub the timeline, the Integrated Graphics card seems to take over the bulk of the processing.

Anyone has had this issue before?

Try disabling the Intel 630 in Device Manager and see what happens. If you have had a recent Windows update this may have reset things.
