Glowing effect

PostFri Feb 07, 2020 8:50 pm

Hello

I would like to emulate glowing effect, like the one in this video
(Timestamp 0:48)

Homever I would like to apply that to not moving image which probably make the case easier....

You can try using a FastNoise node with an oval mask, then use a SoftGlow node.

Just what I needed! Thanks! :D

Quick question: What if I wanted for the glow to surround not standard shape, but a pic (for example a tub of ketchup) what should I do?

Use one of the glow nodes (Glow or SoftGlow, or one of the many glows available in Reactor), and set it to output Glow Only. Multiply that by the FastNoise, then Add that to the original image using either a Channel Booleans (set Alpha to Do Nothing) or a Merge with Alpha Gain turned down to 0.
