8K Pro SDI output 3G levelB -- dual link payload ID ?

PostWed Mar 11, 2020 10:06 am

We use the 8K pro as SDI test image generator only.
We want to mimick a specific camera that outputs 1920x1080p60 YCbCr:422:10 3G B Rec.709.
With the Phabrix SDI analyser we see 2 payload IDs : one for Y-Pos [LinkA = 8C 05 00 01] and one vor Y-Pos [LinkB = 8C 05 00 41].

When I set the output to 1920x1080p60 - levelB,
I can reproduce one of the payload IDs by adding an ancillary packet to our output frame. The second ID however seems fixed Y-Pos LinkB =8A 4B 00 41.

Any suggestions how to insert 2 proprietary payload IDs that overwrite the native IDs for both LinkA and LinkB ?

Hi Bernard,

Payload Byte 1 of 8C corresponds to ST 425-1, 2 x 1080-line video payloads in 3G-SDI. This mode is not supported by the DeckLink - this is 2 HD-SDI dual-streams interleaved into 3G-SDI signal, not to be confused with dual-link 3D (payload 8A) which is supported.

The payload ID is set by the DeckLink hardware, there is no way to override the payload ID in the DeckLink SDK.
