Use one Webcam as an input for Blackmagic Design Atem Mini

PostThu Mar 26, 2020 10:02 pm

Hello,

I would like to use Atem Mini to switch (transitions, PictureinPicture) between:
2x Camera (Sony A7III), Webcam (Logitech Streamcam Webcam 1080p60), and Computer Capture for making a live stream and conferencing.

Is this possible? I do understand Atem Mini has a Usb out that would act like a Webcam for streaming. But is it also possible to use a webcam as an input (in software).
Thank you.

You wouldn't be able to hook up the webcam directly to the ATEM Mini, but you could go this route:

1. Connect the webcam to a surrogate computer (e.g. laptop)
2. Make the surrogate computer display the webcam full-screen
3. Connect the HDMI output of the surrogate computer to an input on the ATEM Mini
