Vedio signal transmission

PostWed May 13, 2020 9:29 am

Hi, Teradec vedio signal transmission, they have introduced a new series other than there flagship bolt series called ACE series line and they added a new line called ACE 800 3g SDI/HDMI vedio transmitter and receiver in addition to the existing ace 500! As this ace 800 is a new member does it have any edge over the BOLT series in the professional set up like vedio signal compression, zero latency etc? When introduced it's price was 2490 USD and now it's price reduced to 1490 USD,a reduction of 1000 USD in B&H, Adoroma etc!,why v this reduction? Is it a failed product of Teradec? please reply regards Ashok

What camera are you planning on using this on? Which camera you plan to use with the Teradec and how you plan on using a device like this will determine which model would be best. If Camera is HDMI, you do not need SDI connections. BTW, while some third party accessories are discussed, it is in relation to how they work on BMD equipment/cameras.

Then you need the models that support SDI. The less expensive ACE range has more delay than the original BOLT series.

Thanks for your valuable reply sir, but the original price of the ACE 800 3gsdi and HDMI was 2490 USD and b&h and Adoroma reduced to 1490 USD! In the Bolt 500 3g SDI cost 1791 USD,In the teradec site brochure says that both ace series and bolt series are with visually lossless compression of vedio signal and with ZERO LATENCY for both, only disadvantage with ACE 800 is it is only compatible to ACE 800 receiver not with other receiver and ACE is bit heavy but with 800 feet range!

Thanks for the added details, I was going by a review I gave a quick read to. Also the Bolt works with third party units like the SmallHD Bolt ready monitors, no receiver needed. I think for the range nd weight difference, the Bolt is the way to go.
