Operating BPMCC 6K panel remotely

PostMon Jun 29, 2020 5:50 pm

I am new to the forum and am in the pre-buy phase right now. I looking at the BMPCC 6K. I am also looking at the Blackmagic Video Assist 12G HDR monitor for another use. Here's the question, can I pair them together? Specifically, does the Wireless Bluetooth Camera Remote Control option to control all menu items of the BMPCC 6K? And is there a way to place those menu controls on the Blackmagic Video Assist 12G HDR monitor via cable or bluetooth?

I am trying to limit my devices and also feel that managing the screen on the camera body may be to involved once I start placing external batteries and other items on the cage. Thanks all for your thoughts.

You may want to check out the ATEM mini.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

Uli, thanks for the reply but I guess I wasn't clear enough on my initial post I am looking to add the Video Assist monitor to the 6k camera and use that monitor to bring up the camera screen to that monitor to adjust screen controls. Not looking to control the camera, just access the screen controls.

The reason being one setup I am looking at blocks the camera screen with a battery so all I'll have to access is the video monitor. I have seen bluetooth monitors but was thinking that the video assist monitors would / should have some type of connection to the 6k.

Thanks Mark. I saw that monitor being used on a few videos. Shame that the Video Assist monitor doesn't give the same options. I would have like to use a 7 inch monitor.
