ATEM Mini Pro: No ATEM found (via USB)

Greetings,

Just received an ATEM Mini Pro. I have it up and running with inputs and multiviewer. However, connecting via USB, my MacBookPro tells me there is no ATEM to be found using the ATEM Setup application.

USB C to USB A Mac adaptor; then USB A to USB A (3.x) into my mid 2014 MacBookPro. Mavericks v10.14.6; ATEM Switchers 8.2.3. Not sure whether it is relevant to USB connections, but I tried the default IP address just in case with no luck.

I've scoured this forum, the manual, Google, and a Facebook group or two to no avail. The only thing I can think of is a bad USB cable, but both adapter and USB cable are brand new from B&H. And of course, I have no other USB A cables to test this with.

Any other suggestions before I order another USB A cable to test?

Make sure your USB cable,is not a charge only cable. You need a USB 3 or higher data cable.
