Help Vito from Pirates of Confusion

PostTue Jul 21, 2020 3:00 pm

I am a patreon member of Vito's Pirates of Confusion (some of you may know him). He recently created a new extensive tutorial in Fusion studio.

Problem: He tried to port it over to Resolve Fusion but cannot. It just hangs at about 30% and never moves beyond that point. It gives no error messages. He has tried to contact BM but has gotten no where.

If you know Vito or someone at BM, can you reach out to either of them to help get his problem solved?

I can't take advantage of his expertise because I am on Resolve Fusion. And I am sure there are others out there in the same position as me.

Thanks in advance for anyone who takes to initiative to try and help Vito (and his patreon members) out.

Learn to debug Fusion comps.

Copy parts of the comp at a time into Resolve, and find out when / where it hangs.

I take it you don't know Vito. I am sure that he has done this.

For myself, I am not masterful at Fusion. I am trying to learn. There is PLENTY I don't know and plenty of nodes that CONFUSE the heck out of me. And I am just trying to pick up things as I go. Most of the stuff that Vito teaches is over my head, but I pick up bits and pieces. There is no one on the internets (that I have found) that creates the type of stuff that Vito does in fusion (or that are willing to create in depth tutorials like he does).

So Theodor, his tuts are HOURS longs (the previous big one he did was over 8hrs of content). You may be masterful and may be able to debug, but if you saw my work in Fusion, you would laugh at me (because my work is so basic).

I can't debug his work. He is Fusioneer. Plus I don't have access to his latest work because he uses Fusion studio. I have Resolve. He is trying to bring it to resolve, but there seems to be some serious conflicts between the two. Thus my ask for help.

Hey,

Not every tool is available in ReFusion, at least with the same name... You wouldn't find softglow aa a node in Fusion for instance...
So is it really important you stick to Resolve and don't follow this project journey in a standalone version of Fusion ?
